ETS-Lindgren's AMS-5701 5G Antenna Measurement System is a decentralized on-axis far-field system that provides 3-dimensional radiation performance measurements of 5G mmWave wireless devices in the 5 to 50 GHz frequency range. It contains a theta arm for the phi axis and a high-precision turntable for the theta axis of the antenna under test. AMS-5701 supports 3GPP and 5G conformance and performance testing (EIRP, TRP, EIS, TIS) and radio interoperability. The AMS-5701 is optimized for testing smaller antenna arrays in mobile devices, user premises or module designs. Array sizes up to 6.8 cm at 24 GHz and 5.0 cm at 44 GHz can be fully characterized. The AMS-5701 also supports antennas with or without antenna feed ports.

The AMS-5701 is mobile (on wheels) and is ideal for situations where space is limited or applications need to share a system. Overall RF isolation is 80 dB across the entire FR2 frequency range.

The AMS-5701 uses ETS-Lindgren's EMQuest EMQ-100 antenna measurement software as its data acquisition and analysis suite. EMQuest EMQ-100 antenna measurement software effectively brings every piece of hardware together to create a powerful test solution. EMQuest EMQ-100 provides a variety of fully parametric test methods to measure passive antenna performance. However, active radiation performance across all 5G technology variants, from millimeter wave radios to massive MIMO base stations, is the real advantage of the EMQ-100. Whether you are designing antennas for standalone applications or testing embedded antenna systems and radio modules against any industry standard over-the-air (OTA) radiation performance test requirements, the EMQuest EMQ-100 has the flexibility to meet your testing needs.
